VISITING FARRANDS

 

Where is Farrands Bar? We're at 18 Swinegate, Leeds, LS1 4AG — in the heart of the city centre, just a couple of minutes' walk from Leeds train station and tucked among the bars and shops of the Swinegate quarter.

What are your opening hours? Tuesday–Thursday: 4pm–11pm Friday: 4pm–midnight Saturday: 12pm–midnight Sunday: 12pm–6pm Closed Monday.

 

Is there parking nearby? Yes — there is on street parking available outside the venue on Sovereign Street and Concordia Street and several car parks within a short walk. Q-Park Sovereign Square is the closest at around two minutes on foot, with electric charging points and accessible spaces. Hunslet Lane and Crown Street car parks are also nearby. As we're so close to Leeds station, public transport is the easiest way to reach us.​

 

BOOKING & WALK-INS

 

Do I need to book, or can I just walk in? Both are welcome. You're always free to pop in — our online booking closes 30 minutes before we open specifically so we can keep space for walk-in guests. If you can't see availability online, come by anyway and we'll do our best to seat you.

Can I book a table just for drinks? Absolutely — we're a bar first and foremost, so drinks-only bookings are exactly what we're here for. No need to be eating to reserve a table.

​

How do I book for a larger group? Online booking covers groups of up to five. For six or more, please get in touch with us directly - Call : 0113 390 8740 or Email :  bookings@farrandsbar.com and we'll arrange it with you.

Can I reserve a spot on the terrace? We'll always try to accommodate a terrace request, but terrace tables aren't guaranteed and are subject to availability on the day. The good news: our raised terrace has a retractable roof, so it works whatever the Leeds weather decides to do.

DRINKS & FOOD

 

What do you serve? We're an independent bar built around great drinks — a carefully chosen list of fine wines, craft beers and signature cocktails, alongside the classics done properly. Our team are happy to talk you through the menu and point you toward something you'll love.

 

Do you serve food? Farrands is a bar, that said, we offer a selection of bar snacks and nibbles to enjoy alongside your drinks if you fancy something to pick at. We don't do mains or full table dining, so if you're after a sit-down meal we'd suggest one of the excellent spots nearby, then join us for drinks before or after.

Do you cater for allergies and dietary requirements? Full allergen information is available on request — just ask our team and we'll help you find something suitable.

 

Do you run any regular drinks events or tastings? We run a monthly wine club on the first wednesday of every month that can be booked here - https://www.farrandsbar.com/post/wine-club

PRIVATE HIRE & EVENTS

 

Can I hire Farrands for a private event? Yes — Farrands is a versatile space for everything from corporate meetings and private gatherings to celebrations. You can hire the Terrace as a standalone space, or take the whole venue for an exclusive buyout with access to the main bar, seating and raised terrace.

What's the minimum booking for hire? Hire is available with a two-hour minimum on a case by case basis.

 

Do you provide catering for events? Farrands is a drinks-led venue, so our events are built around our bar — wines, beers and cocktails for your guests rather than a sit-down catered meal. We provide sharing boards and nibbles. 

 

What's the cancellation policy for event bookings? Non-refundable within 48 hours.

Is there a dress code? We don't allow fancy dress, including bridal sashes.

Are you over-18s only? Under 18s are allowed if accompanied by an adult.

 

Are you dog-friendly? Yes
